Illegal content
We assess the risk of illegal content, including content linked to sexual exploitation, human trafficking, controlling or coercive behaviour and child sexual exploitation, and design LUX to reduce those risks.
- Mandatory identity and age verification (18+) for every advertiser, with re-verification every 90 days.
- Pre-moderation: nothing is published until a moderator approves it, including every edit and every story.
- Automatic risk scoring for third-party language, drug-coded terms, shared phone numbers or devices, duplicate photos and movement between cities.
- Reports of a possible minor or coercion are held immediately and routed to our Compliance team.
Children
LUX is for adults only. Advertisers must prove they are over 18, and the public site contains no explicit content. Visitors confirm they are adults.
Reporting and complaints
Anyone can report content without an account using the report button on every profile and story, or the report page. Complaints about our decisions are handled under our complaints policy.
Record keeping
Every staff action is written to an append-only, hash-chained audit log. Evidence exports require approval from a second Compliance officer.
